Haven't received The event horizon zwo eaf Robotic telescope focuser. I was told it wasn't in stock and they had no idea when it's gonna be in stock. Web page says it's in stock that's why I ordered it.

Sorry, but my item is still in US, so I cannot send the opinion.

EVR-EAF Cassegrain focuser

Nice piece of equipment at a good price. Requires rotation collar set screw adjustment to eliminate the last bit of tilt play, and that advice should be included as an instruction. The SCT-2 inch adapter entirely unsatisfactory - too much slop in the diameter and too short to avoid tilting.

Event Horizon ZWO EAF Robotic Telescope Focuser - EVR - ASCOM- Cassegrain Adaptation?

Well not happy ,but my fault , I wanted the focuser with motor because I looked at the image but what I failed to read further down was motor does not come with it and right now nowhere to be found. I feel It is a little false advertising but like I said my fault for not scrolling down all the way

JMI EVRZ-c Review

The JMI EVRZ-c has met and exceeded all my expectations so far. The drawtube has no detectable slip in its Crayford friction-drive with my 5 lb. imaging payload.
.
When combined with the ASI EAF focuser, the encoder step counts in the EAF motor are staying positionally consistent in use with this payload at each end of drawtube travel which also indicates the drawtube is not slipping any with this 5 lb. payload.
.
Installation of the EAF motor drive was very simple and straightforward using the schematic sheet supplied by FarPoint with the kit.
.
However, I did need to use different machine screws from the ones indicated in the schematic. The bracket mounting holes in the focuser body on my unit all needed #8-32 allen-head machine screws, not the 4mm or 1/4-20 screws shown in the schematic.
.
You'll also need to have a bag of #8 flat washers handy and an assortment of screw lengths in 3/8", 1/2", and 5/8" (get some of each). I found that "button-head" allen screws worked great with their slightly wider heads on the ZWO-supplied bracket.
.
Use the #8 flat washers on either or both sides of the ZWO-supplied EAF aluminum mounting bracket to adjust screw depth into the focuser body, get clearance (if needed) between the ZWO flexible drive shaft coupler, focuser body and mounting bracket and to ensure your screws do not go too deep into the holes and contact vital internal components.
.
The drawtube clamping instead of screw-down endcap to attach the camera payload was initially a concern, but I noticed that the Baader PN "T2-16" and PN "2958630" 2 inch nosepieces I use both have a very tight fit in the drawtube with noticeable friction going in.
.
FarPoint could probably improve the clamping action even more by using two clamping screws instead of just one. But so far, just the one clamping screw is doing the job fine because the drawtube clearance and fit is so tight with my 2 inch nosepieces.
.
So the drawtube fit does not seem to allow for any detectable sag or clamping tilt of the payload when using quality name brand 2 inch nosepieces.
.
Test image frames confirmed no detectable sag or tilt in the drawtube or clamping action with nice pinpoint round star shapes all the way to the edges of the FOV at several different telescope pointing angles.
.
This Farpoint-modified version of the JMI focuser seems to have met and even exceeded the JMI quality I have been used to in their focusers over the years.
.
When combined with the ASI-EAF motor drive, this is a very capable auto-focuser for lighter, smaller camera payloads that has given me consistent results so far, especially if you like to use the ASIAir Plus controller to run all your equipment for imaging.
.
Thanks,
Wade

JMI Event Horizon Robotic ZWO EAF Telescope Focuser - Cassegrain

The name is a mouthful  - what it means is that we've made an adaptation mechanism to mount the ZWO EAF focus motor on our Crayford Focuser that mounts to the rear of your Schmidt Cassegrain Telescope.  We provide the focuser mechanics and you provide your ZWO EAF focus motor.  Your motor mounts with two screws and the couplers already included with the ZWO focuser you bought.

No more mirror image shift while trying to focus your astrophotos and you can control your focus from ASI AIR.

Compatible with 6″ to 16″ Cassegrain telescopes (e.g. SCT and Mak-Cas) with standard output threads. The focuser gives 1/2″ of travel and is designed for fine focus after rough adjustment with the normal telescope focusing knob. Weight is 1.4 pounds without the controller.

Comes with no optical adapters so that you can select the optional adapter(s) you need, if any.

Select JMI Combination 1.25-inch Eyepiece and T-Thread Adapter, ADPT2-1.25T for camera use. JMI Adapter for mounting a CCD or other camera, with a standard T-thread, into a 2" drawtube. It also doubles as a 1.25" adapter. A T-adapter holds a CCD camera more securely than a standard 1.25" adapter. The adapter uses a compression ring to secure inserted equipment. It includes standard 48mm filter threads on the other end of the adapter (inserted into focuser end).

Select Lumicon 2 Inch Male - SCT Male Adapter, LA1060 to attach SCT threaded accessories. Lumicon 2 Inch Male - SCT Male Adapter drops into 2″ telescope eyepiece holders and presents male SCT threads (2″ x 24 tpi) for Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope accessory attachment (SCT diagonal, for example). Includes 2″/48mm filter threads.

Select Farpoint 2 Inch Focuser to 1.25 Inch Eyepiece Adapter, FAV100 for a visual 2" to 1.25" eyepiece adapter. Farpoint 2 Inch Focuser to 1.25 Inch Eyepiece Adapter features a non-marring compression ring for precise centering of telescope eyepieces. Threaded for both 2 inch and 1.25 inch filters and has a stop to prevent long eyepieces from damaging filters.
