FOCUSER SPECIFICATION FILES (with 2160 encoders)*
* After downloading a focuser specification file, rename it by removing the “_” (underscore) and everything before it or use the format fc0000#.df1 where # is replaced by a number. For example, NGF-XTcM_fc00001.df1 should be renamed to fc00001.df1 after downloading or it will not be recognized by the software. You may need to change the number in order to keep from overwriting files you have already created. For example, change fc00001.df1 to fc00002.df1.
If your spec files are not showing up on the configuration tab of the software, try selecting the Restore Default File Settings on the Configuration Tab. This will restore default settings for Baud Rate (9600), COM Port (COM1), Units (Inches) and Step Increments (0.01″). It also collects information on stored focuser data and rebuilds the Focuser List, including assigning a number for the next focuser specification file name. (Removing the focuser.dc1 control file and restarting the software will accomplish the same thing. The control file will be automatically recreated.)
Specification files are used by the new software (version 220.127.116.11) to store information on your focuser(s). Although the software will walk you through creation of a spec file for focusers not listed, we are providing a few files for brand new and obsolete focusers for your convenience.
