The mid-size high performance Aluma® Series cameras offer capabilities and features not available in any other scientific-grade imaging camera. This lightweight (2.2 lbs) and compact (4.5″ x 4.5″ x 4″ with handles) camera includes two-stage cooling, USB 2.0 and optional WiFi 802.11 b/g/n interfaces, ultra-reliable even-illumination shutter, and fast low-noise readout. Aluma can be operated from a tablet or smartphone, or from a Windows, Macintosh, or Linux PC.
The Aluma series supports a wide range of accessories, including the 8-position FW8S-Aluma filter wheel with micron-level filter positioning, AO-8A Adaptive Optics accessory, StarChaser SC-2 Off-Axis Guider, and Remote Guide Head.

The SBIG STX-16803 CCD Camera will have a full frame image buffer for storing image data during download. The STX will be able to image during download process. EXPLORing the possibility of using this buffer for pre-processing pixel defects based on a defect map provided by the CCD manufacturer, at the user’s direction.
As CCDs get larger, the tracking CCD is moved farther off-center from the optical axis. This can result in out-of-focus guide stars. In order to compensate for different telescopes and different tracking CCD locations, the built-in guider will have a small, user accessible, focus adjustment for the tracking CCD. Built upon a cutting-edge 7.4 micron Interline Transfer CCD, this sensor features broad dynamic range, superb imaging efficiency, and a flexible readout design.
The STF-4070 has been enhanced to provide fast full frame downloads and peak cooling in a compact package the size of an STF. It only takes about 1/4 second to download a high resolution 4 mp 16-bit frame using the dual channel readout mode. Despite this ultra fast download rate, the read noise remains especially low at about 9e-.
