JMI Motofocus Old Style Hand Control Unit
These are being sold at a closeout price because they are the older version of the HUSC. The differences are that there is no USB interface or rechargeable battery. The closeout version runs on a 9V battery and has no capability to interface with a computer for computer controlled focus. But it works fine for manual focus using the focus buttons.
JMI Focuser Single-Control Hand Unit is a linear voltage control (LVC) hand unit designed to easily control a focuser motor for vibration-free focusing without the need to touch the telescope.
JMI Motofocus Single-Control Hand Unit
JMI Motofocus Single-Control Hand Unit is a linear voltage control (LVC) hand unit designed to easily control a focuser motor for vibration-free focusing without the need to touch the telescope.
Functionality includes forward and reverse buttons that operate all JMI MotoFocus, MotoDec, EV, NGF and RCF focuser motors. Every hand unit includes an electronic brake for instant stopping when the button is released and a two-position slow-speed switch that adjusts from high (left) to low (right). The system automatically changes from slow speed to fast speed when one of the forward or reverse buttons are held down for two seconds or more. This effectively gives the hand unit three speeds — very slow (1), slow (1.5 times faster) and very fast (5 times faster).
Note: The hand unit has two switch-adjustable slow speeds (left for high slow and right for low slow) which normally ramp up to a fast speed after two seconds. Placing the slow-speed switch between the two normal positions (high and low) will cause the speed selection to be overridden and the motor will run at very fast speed (5) at all times. In rare cases, the low slow speed will not drive the motor. In that case, use the high slow speed only.
