Focus + Collimation in One Tool
A standard Bahtinov mask tells you when you're in focus. A Tri-Bahtinov mask tells you when you're in focus and whether your optics are properly collimated — all at the same time. The three panels generate three sets of diffraction spikes. When all three patterns align symmetrically and the central spikes are centered, your telescope is both focused and collimated. This is invaluable for fast focal ratio Newtonians, SCTs, and any telescope where collimation shifts during transport.
