If you already own a D-size (Losmandy-style) dovetail and want to move it to another scope, all you need is the proper radius blocks for the new tube. These blocks are machined to match the Celestron 8″ SCT — they fit that tube only — and work with the dovetail bar you already have. CNC-machined in the USA from black anodized aluminum.

What do radius blocks do?
They bridge the gap between a flat dovetail bar and a round optical tube. Each set is machined to the exact curve of a specific tube, so the clamping load spreads across the contact surface instead of concentrating at the bolt holes.
Will these fit my telescope?
These are machined for the Celestron 8″ SCT only. If your scope is a different model or size, choose the blocks matched to your tube — or email us and we'll point you to the right set.
Do I need anything else?
Just your existing D-size dovetail bar — the blocks install between the bar and your optical tube. Don't own a bar yet? The complete Celestron 8″ kit includes the bar, blocks, and screws.
