Finder brackets made for Takahashi telescopes
Takahashi telescopes use their own finder base, which doesn’t accept every finder shoe on the market. These Farpoint-made brackets and adapters bridge that gap — letting you mount a finderscope or a small guide scope on a Takahashi OTA and take it off again without tools. Farpoint is part of the CXB Astro family.
Two options, one Takahashi base
The Farpoint Takahashi Finder Bracket — Quick Release carries a genuine Takahashi finderscope. The Farpoint Takahashi GSO Bracket Adapter adapts a non-Takahashi finder or a small guide scope — for example a QHYCCD Mini Guide Scope or a GSO 8×50mm right-angle correct-image finder — to the same Takahashi finder base. Both use a tool-free quick-release so the finder seats in the same place every time.

Which Takahashi finder adapter do I need?

What does “quick-release” mean here?
Both brackets let you lift the finder or guide scope off the telescope and refit it without tools, returning it to the same position each time. That makes transport and storage easier and keeps your finder roughly aligned between sessions.
