What the Swing Hinge does

The UBM is a 4-axis parallelogram out of the box — superb for vertical and horizontal motion. The Swing Hinge inserts between the UBM and the binocular saddle, adding a rotational axis that lets the binocular swing freely. This means smoother tracking across the meridian, comfortable transitions between high and low altitude targets, and no need to physically reposition the mount when chasing an object across the sky.
