Drops into a 2" focuser and presents male SCT threads, so you can put an SCT-thread accessory on a non-SCT scope.
The Lumicon 2" to SCT Male Adapter drops into any 2" focuser or diagonal and presents male SCT threads (2" × 24 tpi) on the accessory side. That lets you attach a Schmidt-Cassegrain accessory — an SCT star diagonal, an SCT-thread filter, or another SCT-thread component — to a telescope that has a 2" focuser rather than an SCT rear cell. It also carries 2"/48mm filter threads on the barrel. This is the reverse of an SCT-to-2" visual back: instead of adapting an SCT scope to take 2" gear, it adapts a 2" focuser to take SCT gear.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does this adapter do?
It drops into a 2" focuser or diagonal and gives you male SCT threads (2" × 24 tpi). That lets you mount an SCT-thread accessory — such as an SCT star diagonal or an SCT-thread filter — on a scope that has a 2" focuser instead of an SCT rear cell.
How is this different from an SCT-to-2" visual back?
They run in opposite directions. An SCT-to-2" visual back threads onto an SCT rear cell and gives you a 2" holder. This adapter drops into a 2" focuser and gives you a male SCT thread — so it puts SCT accessories on a 2" scope, rather than 2" accessories on an SCT scope.
Does it have filter threads?
Yes — 2"/48mm filter threads on the barrel, so you can thread a 2" filter onto it.
