This 12″ Takahashi clamshell-to-D bar bolts to your clamshell and gives it a D-size (Losmandy-style) dovetail interface — with two mounting positions, so you can shift the clamshell fore or aft along the bar to balance your rig. Machined of sturdy aluminum with a black anodized finish. CNC-machined in the USA.

What does this bar do?
It bolts to the base of your Takahashi clamshell, giving the clamshell a 12″ D-size (Losmandy-style) dovetail interface so the whole assembly drops into any D-size saddle. The product drawing shows the hole pattern and measurements.
Why two mounting positions?
Cameras, focusers, and accessories shift your rig's center of gravity. Two mounting positions let you move the clamshell along the bar to rebalance — without drilling or buying another plate. Only need a fixed position? The single-position plate costs less.
What mounts will this work with?
Any mount with a D-size (Losmandy-style) saddle. Mount still has a small Vixen saddle? Our D-size saddles and conversions upgrade it.
