The Farpoint 2" to 1.25" Eyepiece Adapter lets you use 1.25" eyepieces in a 2" focuser, gripping the eyepiece with a non-marring compression ring that centers it precisely and won’t scar the barrel the way a single thumbscrew can. It’s threaded for both 2" and 1.25" filters, and an internal stop keeps long eyepieces from reaching down and damaging a filter below.

Why a compression ring: instead of a single screw pressing on one spot, a compression ring squeezes evenly all the way around the eyepiece barrel. That centers the eyepiece more accurately and avoids the rings and gouges a bare thumbscrew leaves.
