A parfocal ring clamps onto the barrel of a 1.25" eyepiece and sets how deep that eyepiece sits in the focuser. Once each eyepiece is set so they all come to focus at the same point, you can swap eyepieces during an observing session and the image stays focused — no re-focusing every time you change magnification. This pack includes four rings, enough to set up several eyepieces so an entire kit stays parfocal. The ring tightens with the included wrench and stays put, so the setting holds from session to session. Eyepiece not included.

What is a parfocal ring?
It’s a small ring that clamps onto a 1.25" eyepiece barrel and sets how far the eyepiece seats into the focuser. By setting each of your eyepieces this way, they all reach focus at the same focuser position, so you don’t have to re-focus when you switch eyepieces.
How do I set it up?
Focus your telescope with one eyepiece and treat that as your reference. Then, for each other eyepiece, slide the parfocal ring along the barrel until that eyepiece also comes to focus at the same focuser position, and tighten the ring with the included wrench. After that, all your eyepieces are parfocal with each other.
