The Lumicon 1.25" to 0.965" Reducer drops into any 1.25" focuser or diagonal and accepts 0.965" eyepieces — the older Japanese-standard barrel size found on many vintage and entry-level telescopes. If you have a collection of 0.965" eyepieces but a scope with a 1.25" focuser, this is the part that bridges the two. A brass thumbscrew locks the eyepiece securely in place.

What is a 0.965" eyepiece?
0.965" (24.5mm) is an older eyepiece barrel standard used on many vintage and entry-level telescopes, especially older Japanese-made scopes. Modern astronomy standardized on 1.25" and 2" barrels, so this reducer lets you keep using a 0.965" eyepiece collection.
Will my 0.965" eyepieces give the same view as 1.25" ones?
They work fine for what they are, but 0.965" eyepieces generally have narrower fields of view and smaller eye lenses than modern 1.25" eyepieces. This reducer is about compatibility — letting you use the eyepieces you already own — rather than improving the view.
How does it attach?
