JMI Telescope Carrying Case - Meade LX 10 Inch
Note: This case is not compatible some of the newer LX600 series telescopes.
* Beginning in 2013, Meade modified the LX200 10″ ACF Telescope so that it could no longer be positioned with the optical tube pointing straight down between the forks. The tube can only be stored in the nose-up position. This makes it more difficult to transport and also makes it incompatible with any JMI Carrying Case. The telescope was re-designed sometime in the fall of 2014. At this time we have no plans to produce a case for the nose-up-storage design. Be sure to check and make sure that your scope will point downward between the fork arms before ordering this case. The downward pointing OTA is now once again standard on newer models.
Safely transport your telescope with JMI Telescope Carrying Case - Meade LX 10 Inch. Made with heavy-duty ABS plastic, this JMI Carrying Case includes crush-resistant die-cut foam contoured to safely hold telescopes during transport. Protects expensive telescope equipment while making it easier to transport from one location to another. Features retractable handles and wheels for ease of lifting and transport.
Includes four latches (two lockable), three steel-reinforced handles, a 2″ by 30″ steel hinge and die-cut foam lining with compartments for telescope, eyepieces, finder scope and accessories. The finder scope must be removed from the telescope and placed in the case. The Meade Microfocuser on the GPS scope must also be removed and placed in a foam compartment in the case. The case can be carried or pulled using the attached wheels. Optional upgrades include the Large-Wheel Upgrade and Retractable Handle Upgrade (must be installed by JMI at time of purchase).
When used for the Meade LX90, the LNT Module and SmartFinder must be removed and stored in the case.
