Pull a fully loaded Wheeley Bar across the yard without bending over — add a tow handle to your 1/2″ / 5″ caster bar.
The JMI Tow Handle retrofits to your Universal-style Wheeley Bar and gives you a proper grab handle to pull the loaded rig over grass, gravel, driveway, or any uneven ground without hunching down. Once installed, the handle stays on; deploy it when you're moving, fold or stow when you've parked. Made in the USA by JMI, part of the CXB Astro family.
This is the 1/2″ + 5″ caster version — sized for Wheeley Bars with 1/2″ leveling screws AND 5″ caster wheels. That covers the Standard Medium bar and older HD Medium / HD Large model years from before the 5/8″ leveling-screw upgrade. For current HD bars with 5/8″ screws, see the 5/8″ Tow Handle.

5/8″ Leveling Screws Instead?
If your Wheeley Bar uses 5/8″ leveling screws — current HD Medium, HD Large, or HD Shorty — order the 5/8″ Tow Handle instead. Same price ($107.80), same design, sized for the heavy-duty thread.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if my Wheeley Bar has 1/2″ or 5/8″ leveling screws?
Pull one leveling screw out of your Wheeley Bar and measure the thread diameter with calipers or a ruler. 1/2″ is the older standard — Standard Medium and earlier HD model years. 5/8″ is the current HD standard — newer HD Medium, HD Large, and HD Shorty bars. If unsure, email support@cxbastro.com with a photo of your bar.
Why does the tow handle need to match my leveling-screw size?
The mounting bracket on the tow handle attaches to the Wheeley Bar frame at the same point as the leveling screws, and the bracket's bores are sized to match the screw diameter. The 1/2″ and 5/8″ versions have different mounting hardware to match. If you order the wrong size, the bracket won't bolt up cleanly.
I have a Wheeley Bar with 10″ pneumatic tires — do I need this?
No — Wheeley Bars with 10″ pneumatic tires ship from the factory with a tow handle already installed. This product is the retrofit tow handle for 5″ caster wheel bars only. If you want a longer handle on your pneumatic-tire bar, see the Tow Handle XL upgrade.
How long does the install take?
About 10–15 minutes the first time — you'll need a basic hand-tool set (wrench or socket for the bracket bolts). The instructions in the box walk through it step by step. There's no drilling involved; the bracket uses the bar's existing hardware mounting points.
Can I get the longer XL handle with this tow handle?
Not in one box — the standard tow handle ships with a standard-length handle bar. If you want the 12″ longer handle, order the Tow Handle XL separately and swap it onto your tow handle after installation. The XL is just the handle bar portion ($45); it works with both 1/2″ and 5/8″ tow handle assemblies.
Pull, don't push.
