Lumicon: Oxygen III Filter

Hello, the Lumicon: Oxygen III Filter is the first using a Lumicon product but certainly not the last. Last Monday, Nov. 1st gave me a dark clear night to try and compare with filters I currently have. The Lumicon has jumped to first place. Cassiopeia and Pegasus were close to zenith and offered globular clusters to view. Contrast was better and the green shift was less for sure. Used with Tele Vue 20mm & 11mm Plossl eyepieces in my Celestron 150 Omni XLT with very nice results of sharper contrasts. I look forward to trying other Lumicon filters in the future for my filter arsenal.

Classic Lumicon 1.25 Inch Oxygen III Filter helps faint objects become much more visible against the blackened background of space. These are perfectly good filters, we are just closing out the Classic OIII's because they are being replaced by the Gen3 filters.

Lumicon 1.25 Inch Oxygen III Filter visually isolates the two doubly ionized oxygen lines (496 and 501nm lines) emitted by diffuse, planetary and extremely faint nebulae.

Oxygen III Filter helps faint objects become much more visible against the blackened background of space and produces near-photographic views of the Veil, Ring, Dumbbell and Orion nebula, among many other objects. This filter performs well under both light-polluted and dark skies.
