The 5″ Lockable Caster Wheels Upgrade for Triangle Style swaps the small factory casters on your JMI Triangle Style Wheeley Bar for three 5″ diameter polyurethane wheels. The bigger diameter rolls smoother over expansion joints and small obstacles, the polyurethane tread is gentler on finished concrete and garage epoxy than the standard casters, and each wheel has a full-locking brake — step on the lever and the wheel stops dead, keeping your Dobsonian setup planted while you set up at the eyepiece.
This is the Triangle-Style-specific version of the 5″ wheel upgrade. The wheels themselves are the same polyurethane, lockable design as the Universal-style 5″ wheel upgrade — but the mounting plates are sized for the Triangle Style frame and won't interchange. Surface match matters. 5″ polyurethane wheels are designed for hard, smooth surfaces — concrete, asphalt, garage epoxy, tile. They roll beautifully indoors. They do not excel on grass, gravel, mulch, sand, or rough ground — the smaller diameter still catches on uneven terrain. For off-pavement observing on a Dobsonian platform, larger pneumatic wheels are needed (currently special-order for the Triangle Style; email support@cxbastro.com to inquire).

Triangle Style vs. Universal Style Wheel Upgrades
The Triangle Style and Universal Style Wheeley Bars use different frames, so the 5″ wheel upgrade is sold in two SKUs with different mounting plates. Pick by which bar you own:
Triangle Style (this product) — for Dobsonian platform bars carrying 8″, 10″, or 12″ Dobsonians. Triangular frame, mounting plates sized to fit.
Universal Style — for tripod-mounted or pier-mounted scopes (Standard Medium, HD Medium, HD Large, HD Shorty, AP Pier Mount). Mounting plates sized for the Universal frame.
The wheels themselves are identical between the two SKUs — same 5″ polyurethane, same locking brakes — only the mounting plates and hardware differ.
