This Standard 1/4-20 mounting screw threads into your binocular's standard tripod socket — the universal photo-tripod thread found on the vast majority of porro-prism binoculars. It's the pin that lets the binocular snap onto the Farpoint Far-Sight base. The Far-Sight ships with one; add more so you can swap multiple pairs of binoculars on a single base without re-threading in the dark.

Do I need this screw if I already have a Far-Sight?
The Far-Sight comes with one Standard screw. Buy additional screws only if you want to equip a second pair of binoculars so you can swap them onto the same base quickly.
Will it fit my binoculars?
