Machined of sturdy aluminum with a black anodized finish, this is Farpoint's version of the Vixen-style (V-size) saddle. The non-marking clamp system provides a secure, firm grip — but won't mark or damage your dovetail bars, no matter how many times you set up and tear down. CNC-machined in the USA.

Frequently Asked Questions
What makes it "Sure Grip"?
Most basic Vixen saddles clamp with the tip of a set screw — a tiny contact patch that digs into the bar. The Sure Grip's non-marking clamp system spreads the grip, holding firmly without marring, pitting, or deforming your dovetail.
Do I need armored-strip dovetail bars with this saddle?
No — armored strips exist to protect bars from set screws. Since this saddle's clamp doesn't mar bars, the regular (non-armored) versions of our V-size bar kits work perfectly and save you a few dollars.
Is V-size the same as Vixen?
Yes — V-size is the Vixen-style dovetail, the smaller of the two common dovetail standards (the larger being the D-size, or Losmandy-style). This saddle clamps V-size bars.
