The Farpoint UBM 5-Pound Counterweight is an additional balance weight for the Universal Binocular Mount. The UBM ships with two 5-lb counterweights — sufficient for binoculars up to about 80–100mm aperture. For heavier binoculars (100mm+), add one more.
When you need one
If your binoculars exceed 80–100mm aperture or feel front-heavy on the UBM, an additional 5-lb counterweight restores proper balance — keeping the binocular "floating" effortlessly through the full range of motion. The UBM can hold one additional counterweight beyond the two it ships with.
